IRELAND is calling – we're on our way!

Support between colleagues

For product training events, Schwalm invites its national and international customers directly to the company's location in Bad Hersfeld-Asbach. "This is very important to us," explains Martin Schwalm, "because this is where all of the relevant test environments are available, and therefore the best conditions for training our customers in the use our products." And this was indeed the case with the Irish sewer rehabilitation specialist JC Enviro, who received intensive training in February 2015 for a week on the use of the newly acquired Schwalm Talpa FSR 2060 robot in Asbach.

Yet in mid March 2015, Thomas Ackermann, Schwalm Sewer Rehabilitation, and Sebastian Vásarhélyi, Schwalm Robotic, found themselves on the way to Ireland. What was the background to this? The Schwalm robot which was acquired at the start of the year had been in use for some weeks. A significant and wide-ranging sewer rehabilitation project was due to be carried out with the Schwalm robot which had, until then, not yet been implemented. "The Irish called us and asked us whether we could support them in March," explains Martin Schwalm. "And we were, of course, pleased to go and help out JC Enviro on location." Spontaneously, Schwalm specialists Thomas Ackermann and Sebastian Vásarhélyi were heading for the airport, and spent a week at the site where they assisted the Irish team. "It worked very well," explained Thomas Ackermann. "Both the principal and the client, JC Enviro, are more than happy with the rehabilitation work. And we are pleased to have been able to help with the project and that the capabilities offered by our TALPA FSR 2060 can now be put to full and professional use in Ireland.”
