As part of a restructuring of Willi Schwalm Kanalsanierung the robotics side of the business has been spun off. As of now, the newly formed Schwalm Robotic GmbH is responsible as an autonomous company for the development and construction of sewer rehabilitation robots and vehicles. The service business in relation to all aspects of sewer systems remains as usual the responsibility of Schwalm Kanalsanierung. In splitting operations in this way, Schwalm is underlining the forward-looking importance of the robotics side of the business.
Following comprehensive restructuring measures, Schwalm Robotic GmbH simultaneously moved into spacious new premises at 16 Industriestrasse, Bad Hersfeld-Asbach in January 2009. Schwalm Kanalsanierung remains as before accommodated at Schwalm’s long-time base, number 10 Schulstrasse, Bad Hersfeld-Asbach.
Proprietor and joint managing director of Schwalm Kanalsanierung is Martin Schwalm, who at the same time is also joint managing director and a shareholder of Schwalm Robotic GmbH. Now working with him as joint managing director of Schwalm Kanalsanierung is Angelika Schwalm. Both business divisions, robotics and sewer rehabilitation, will continue to cooperate closely with each other.
